g-Seek logois an enterprise level search engine which has been specifically designed to provide extensive search functionality at sensible prices. Main features

The g-Seek search solution developed by System Associates is based on the Lucene search engine, an open source Java-based application. It is designed to provide our clients with an affordable search engine that offers the following important features:

  • Scalability for the internal enterprise without server, process or document count limits
  • Scalability for external indexing with no limits to domains or levels
  • Understands Government and best practice metadata standards
  • Capable of indexing sites which do not adhere to these standards and applying metadata standards to them

  • Delivers search results from local or remote sources in an accessible manner (for example, PDF output as HTML)
  • Supports GIS metadata to locate search items

  • Integration with BabelFish language translation engine integration to provide on-the-fly translation of search returns
  • Suggestion and correction of misspelled or erroneous input to help users search efficiently

System requirements

g-Seek requires a Windows or Unix-based platform with any of the industry standard Java platforms. We will recommend a specific configuration to suit each customer's requirements.

Available licences

We offer two versions of the g-Seek licence, the Standard and the Special Government.

Standard licence

Our standard licence covers the following:

  • g-Seek search engine
  • Installation
  • Technical and user training
  • Full suite of technical and user documentation
  • 90 days warranty from final delivery

Special Government licence

In addition to all of the standard licence features, this special licence also provides:

  • A site wide source licence, covering unlimited sites, users and servers
  • Full, unencrypted source code
