Health and safety policy
The company aims to provide safe working conditions at all times and does not knowingly tolerate unsafe conditions. It is important that all fire and safety procedures are adhered to and that employees are encouraged to adopt safe practices in day-to-day work as a matter of course.
We are committed to providing a safe working environment for our staff, aiming to minimise occupational accidents and illnesses. However, it is the responsibility of all employees to familiarise themselves with and comply with the company’s health and safety procedures and systems.
General policy statement
Our statement of general policy is to:
- Provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities;
- Consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety;
- Provide and maintain safe equipment;
- Ensure safe handling and use of substances;
- Provide information, instruction and supervision for employees;
- Ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks, and to give them adequate training;
- Prevent accidents and cases of work related ill health;
- Maintain safe and healthy working conditions;
- Continually review and revise this policy as necessary and;
- Comply with the current applicable occupational health and safety (OH&S) legislation.
System Associates also recognises its duty to protect the health and safety of all visitors to the company's premises. This includes contractors and temporary workers, as well as any members of the public who might be affected by the company’s work operations.
